When Dr.K.Naveen Babu took over the reigns of fledging Degree College in 1998 ,it had only a handful of students on its rolls and operated from a small dilapidated building.It then went through a spectacular metamorphosis and nad became Priyadarshini Degree College at Khammam and Kothagudem.Today the college has over 4000 students on rolls.With nearly 200 teaching and non-teaching staff,over 50,000 Square Feet of Constructed area,Priyadarshini is a force to reckon with in the higher education arena in domain of Kakatiya University.
The Midas touch of Dr.Naveen Babu however ,has not been confined merely to numbers.It is the total tranformation of a run-of-the-mill college into a comprehensive institution of higher education that merits mention here.No degree college in the region conducts as many events all throughput the year as Priyadarshini .No corresponding in the area ,tries as vigorously to involve each and every student in these activities,as Dr.K.Naveen Babu
